You can find suitable housing in Israel for absolutely any period. If you do not plan to stay in this country for long, then short-term housing rental will suit you. Renting an apartment is always more advantageous compared to a hotel or hostel. Short-term rental in Israel is considered to be from one day to six months. Renting housing without frills or extra services will on average cost 350–450 shekels per day (about 90–130 dollars), depending on the beach season and time of year.
Fact: in resort areas it is much easier to find short-term housing rentals, including by the day, than in residential districts.
There will be no problem choosing an apartment, but it is better to look for the housing that is optimal for you in advance. Our website has a large number of current offers for every taste and budget, where everyone can find suitable housing according to their preferences.
The cost of short-term housing
The price of an apartment or house in Israel, as in other countries, depends on which area the property is in. The more prestigious it is — near the beach, close to major shopping and entertainment centers, clubs, attractions and restaurants — the higher the rent.
In addition, the payment for short-term housing rental is influenced by other factors:
- the condition of the building, the floor, the view from the window;
- the area of the apartment and the number of rooms (including non-living ones);
- additional amenities (use of private parking, a pool, a gym);
- the length of the rental term — owners give preference to long-term contracts. Therefore they are often ready to offer a decent discount;
- the comfort of the rented housing. Housing rented out by the day is often fully ready for tenants to move in: there is the necessary furniture, appliances, internet, kitchenware, bed and bath linen.
If possible, avoid renting an apartment close to markets and food establishments, including restaurants. You will not want to open the windows because of all sorts of (usually unpleasant) smells.
Check in advance whether utility payments are included in the price, as this is not a cheap pleasure, and also study all the terms of the rental agreement in detail so as not to spoil both your relationship with the owner and your time in Israel.
