Rishon LeZion, founded in 1882, is a city located in central Israel, on the Mediterranean coastal strip, 12 km south of Tel Aviv.
The city of Rishon LeZion was for a long time considered a “dormitory” suburb of Tel Aviv, but since the 1990s the city has been experiencing a period of rapid development. In the western part of the city, large residential areas have been built with shopping, cultural and industrial centers located nearby.
